1.How does new Ferrari 812 Superfast look like?
Ferrari 812 Superfast is an advancement of Ferrari’s highly admired F12 Berlinetta coupe and F12tdf spinoff. 812 Superfast has classic front-mounted V12 engine layout and innovative tech that will make it one of most amazing cars in the world.
2.What about the engine?
Ferrari 812 Superfast has 6.5-litre V12 engine, it will produce 588kW of power at 8500rpm and 718Nm of torque. This is more than the F12 Berlinetta, double the power of the latest Porsche 911 and 44kW more than the new Lamborghini Aventador S.
812 Superfast has a new high-pressure fuel delivery system and variable-length air inlets developed for Formula 1.
If rumors are to be believed this will be Ferrari’s last pure V12 model before hybrid power and turbo takes over.
3.How fast is 812 Superfast?
Very fast! It can hit 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds before reaching a top speed in excess of 340km/h. This will be the fastest Ferrari ever offered in Australia.
4.Is it easy to drive?
Superfast has an updated version of the four-wheel-steer “Virtual Short Wheelbase”. Also it has Ferrari’s Side Slip Control suite of traction and stability systems, along with a new electronic power steering system.
Ferrari says the result is a car that is “easier to handle and even more thrilling to exploit”.
5.What to expect from 812 Superfast’s styling?
This new model was designed in-house by Ferrari, building on the F12’s classic fastback lines.
The rear of the car is a clear indication that this one is an updated model, as it now flaunts 4 tail lamps and no F1-style rain light at the bottom of the bumper. A more dynamic frontend with squinting headlamps and a larger grille opening speaks to the car’s intent. The “aero bridge” front guards are reworked while a clever aerodynamic bypass system is introduced to improve downforce without the use of an unsightly spoiler.
6.What about the interior?
A few changes are made in the cabin, like now you will see a new steering wheel, instrument clusters and driver controls. According to Ferrari in this new model the dashboard is resculpted and car’s infotainment system is also updated for a better driving experience.
7.Why this name?
812 might sound strange, but this name pays a tribute to classic models in the Ferrari catalogue including the 500 Superfast. This model was first debuted in 1964 at the Geneva motor show, where it claimed the range as an ultra-exclusive gran turismo powered by a 5.0-litre V12 engine with 400 horsepower.
