Mercedes- Benz Special Edition G63AMG Teased In India

Mercedes Benz India has launched an unclear teaser of the G63 AMG. The obscure teaser images have a tagline “shake every ground”. As the G-Wagon is already on sale in India, we suspect the teasers are for a special edition G63 AMG, and more particularly- the Edition 463.

From the teaser images, we can assume the car to be the Edition 463, it is because of the five-twin-spoke allow wheels and the AMG racing stripes decals on the sides. The Edition 463 was launched internationally last year. It adds minor changes to the already exclusive G63 with some exterior and interior elements.

The most important additional to the Edition 463 would be the drilled stainless steel under ride guard on the front bonnet, the high sheen five twin spoke alloy wheels and the stripe decals on the doors. We can also expect special body colors.

On the inside, we expect Mercedes-Benz to give a two=tone dashboard with ‘desigo’ upholstery wrapped in carbon and Nappa leather. With the AMG carbon-fibre trim, the interior will get a slew of carbon-fibre inserts all around the cabin. Buyers will also get a choice of two-tone seats with side bolsters done in carbon leather or a choice of black, porcelain black or light brown/black designo leather upholstery.

When you are dealing with an iconic car like Gelandewagen, there is nothing much that can ne changed. However, Mercedes has kept the features and design of its 38 years old car fresh with a number of limited editions. The G63 is also available in the Crazy Color Edition in India.

It will be powered by the same 5.5 litre V8 behemoth, however there will be a power boost over the standard G63. A total power output of huge 563bhp and 700Nm is expected. The exhaust system is also likely to produce more sonorous sound in Edition 463.

Following the teasers, Mercedes-Benz is expected to reveal the car in the coming few weeks.
