We have already told you that the new gen of the Hyundai Verna will be launching in India soon. This August, Hyundai will launch the car in India, but the company has already teased the car and given us an opportunity to look at what to expect. In the teaser images we can see the LED DRLs, which are very much similar to the Elantra and definitely the overall front design of Hyundai Verna is inspired from the big brother.
The Hyundai Verna follows Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. It will be competing against the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Skoda Rapid. There are a number of new things in the car and in fact with the new gen, the car is new. The company has updated the chassis of the Hyundai Verna by using high-strength steel which makes it stronger and lighter. The suspension has also got a few updates.
Hyundai has extended the wheelbase of the new gen Verna by 10 mm and the overall length of the car by 15 mm. The width of the car has also increased by 29 mm. This means new Verna will be more spacious than the current model. Despite more space the weight has only increased by 10 kg.
In the new Hyundai Verna we might see a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which has smartphone integration options too, so there’s going to be Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink.
If we talk about the price, Hyundai will try and keep it competitive. Currently the Verna is priced between ₹ 7.95 to ₹ 13.17 lakh and we don’t expect a significant change here.
