Expected to launch later this year.
Last year, it was told that Hyundai will launch the third generation Hyundai i30 in three body styles: 5 door coupe, 5 door estate and 5 door hatchback. With the 5 door estate and 5 door hatchback already out, Hyundai is working on the coupe version of the car.
The all-new Hyundai 130 was spied with a fastback styling earlier this month. Other than the fastback roofline, the new model won’t be having major changes. What Hyundai plans to do with this new variant is provide a cheap alternative to premium compact cars like the Mercedes CLA.
Like the exterior, the interior will also be similar to the rest of the Hyundai i30 cars. Like, its interior highlights include: wireless charging and heated front seats with 10-way electric adjustment for the driver’s seat, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch floating display for the infotainment system with navigation and dual-zone climate control.
The Hyundai i30 Fastback will have the same engine options as the Hyundai i30 which is available with 1.4-litre naturally aspirated, 1.0-litre turbocharged and 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engines and 1.6-litre diesel engine. Transmission choices should include 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch, with front-wheel drive remaining as the standard drivetrain layout.
The new i30 premium hatchback is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh.
