Ford Aspire Sports Edition: Top 4 things You Need To Know

The Indian car market has been expanding really fast both in terms of choices and numbers for buyers and one of these new segments is affordable sporty cars. Big on looks and fun to drive, these models cater to the young buyers who want a little extra for their money. Ford was the first company to start this trend with the Fiesta S almost a decade ago and it has now again entered the fray with a segment first- the Aspire Sports. This is the first sporty compact sedan in India and will have a whole lot of features to match its sporty tag.

The Ford Aspire Sports is available in India in two variants- petrol and diesel. They are priced at Rs 6.50 lakh and Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The petrol variant makes use of the 1.2-litre unit while the diesel is the 1.5-litre unit. It can be had across seven different colour options.

Below are the top 4 things that put S in the Ford Aspire Sports.

Sports suspension

Ford says that Aspire Sports will be fitted with a Sports suspension which will make already fun car, more fun to drive. This has been one of the trademarks of Figo family and it looks like the legacy has been carried over.

1.5 inch sporty alloy wheels

Nothing completes the sporty look like the set of sporty wheels which Ford has used in the Aspire S. These are multi-spoke 15 inch 5 star units and have a design very similar to what we saw on the 2014 Fiesta for the Indian market.

Blacked out grille and stickers

Fancy stickers and blacked out grilled are complementing the wheels amazingly. The grille is very much same to what is given on the black package as well as the Figo Sports while the ‘S’ stickers are put near the edge of the rear door and are contrast-colored to the color of the compact sedan.

All black interior

The car is inspired from the top-of-the-line Titanium variant and has all the features that Ford provides in this price range. The only exception here is that the complete cabin in the new version has been trimmed out in all-black unlike black and beige in the standard car. Also contrast stitching on the gear knob and on the seats is adding to ‘S’ quotient.
