The German luxury car company, Audi is all set to launch the 2017 Q7 petrol version for the first time in India on 1 September 2017. The new Q7 petrol model will have the same features and equipment like the diesel model. The car manufacturer claims that the 2017 Audi Q7 is around 325 kgs lighter than its previous versions due to the use of the latest weight saving components in the form of lightweight chassis made of steel and aluminum, seats, exhaust system and suspension.
The 2017 Audi Q7 40 TFSI petrol will be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine that generates 249bhp of power and 370Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission which powers all four-wheels. The car will also provide driver assistance in the form of an electronic stability program with various driving modes to suit different driver requirements. The ongoing diesel version is powered by a 3.0-litre that generates 272bhp and 600Nm of torque.
As far as design of the 2017 Audi Q7 petrol is concerned, it will continue to get the same muscular stance with a single-frame grille, matrix LED headlamps and bonnet. As of now, we are not sure about the price, but we can expect it to be priced around Rs. 75 lakhs. After launching, Q7 petrol will be competing against models like the Land Rover Discovery, BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
